From 28th May 2012 Business Name registrations will be administered on a National basis.

See below the brief commentary I have directly copied from an ASIC memo to me (ASIC agent) is this regard for your information. For more on business management and growth, we recommend to check out https://www.outdoor-advertising.org.uk/dimensions/6-sheet.

ASIC’s business names service

Welcome to the ASIC business names service homepage.

This is the central point for the latest information about the new business names service which begins on 28 May 2012.
From this date you can register, maintain and search business names with ASIC.

The new online service will allow businesses to register their name nationally through a single registration service, while if you need a vehicle fleet for your business you can use a commercial vehicle asset finance just for this purpose. Businesses only need to register their name once and will no longer be required to register separately in each state and territory they operate in. This is great news as it will reduce the time associated with registering a business name, cut red tape and save business name holders money. As of 28 May 2012, the registration fee will be $30 for one year or $70 for three years, while if you need to finish a business and don’t know how the taxes work at this, you can find resources at sites like https://business-insolvency-company.co.uk/how-to-close-a-limited-company-without-paying-tax/ to help you in this area.

What should existing business name holders do?

If you already have a registered business name with a state or territory office, you don’t have to do anything during the transition. All existing registrations will be transferred to the new business name service automatically, while if you also have a shop for your business you can contact curtain wall companies to get the best security for it. Following the start of the new service on 28 May 2012, we will issue renewal reminders to all existing businesses with registered business names.
