Patrick Hinchy

Patrick commenced practising as a chartered accountant in 1978 and was a partner in a city based chartered accounting firm until 1992. He purposefully retired from that practice to commence a management consulting practice, Shalom Business Development.
Patrick facilitated workshop presentations for the Financial Management Research Centre (FMRC) for approximately 3 years whilst in his chartered accounting practice. FMRC is based in NSW and provides management workshops to a broad cross section of industry both in Australia and overseas.
Patrick was also the managing partner of a successful accounting practice that, since his retirement, has become part of the internationally operating Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Group. He has held senior positions with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has been a director of both private and public companies.
From his many years experience working with owners of privately owned businesses he became aware that many owners would greatly benefit from continuing management support. Traditionally operated accounting firms rarely provide this as their primary focus. This concept formed the framework for the commencement of Shalom 1993.
Patrick is a member of the Australian Institute of Management and is currently undertaking Master of Business Administration studies at the Queensland University of Technology. |
