Our Positioning Statement

Our positioning statement as 'Business Builders' reflects our core objective and mission.

Shalom's wide scope of support across all Business Building Elements enables a structured, sequential approach to developing your business. We do this with focus on Owner's Goals, Clients, Sales, Structure, People, System, Resources, Finances, Management & Administration.

Our Name

We have purposefully chosen ‘Shalom’ as the dominant brand name. We have done this for several reasons namely:

We are committed to being different and better, hence we wanted a distinctive yet relevant brand name.

Our investigations revealed the word Shalom (of Jewish origin) has several English translations/interpretations, ‘peace be with you’ being one of them.

Our Practice purposefully and appropriately promotes peace of mind to all those who own and operate businesses and we therefore adopted the name Shalom and then added the acronym Sound Highly-Practical Advice Linking Opportunity and Money.

Our Logo reflecting 3 doves in various stages of flight is synonymous with a business developing from either start up phase, making the transition to a successful business and then ultimately soaring to sustainable great heights.

We recognise those within our client base who give credence to the Michael Gerber proposition “ …great businesses are not built by extraordinary people but by ordinary people doing extraordinary things.” We believe with total conviction that Gerber’s statement drives a focus on making business systems dependent and not people dependent.

We have assembled a team of highly motivated and competent people and have equipped them well. The purpose of doing so is to apply these considerable resources to work with business owners to build sustainable successful businesses.

We are ourselves a small business and have our own ambitions and our own clearly defined notion of ‘great’. Closely allied to this is our client’s perception of us.

Our best way of validating why we are different and better is based on the success of our existing clients.

Our client base includes mature, highly profitable businesses with annual turnover up to $30 million. We also have businesses at start up phase and those that commenced with us in a distressed state.

Our clients include a Telstra National Business Excellence Award Winner and several State Award Winners and finalists. Others have won numerous regional business excellence awards.
